Your Website Could Cost Significantly Less Than You Think
Many Irish businesses are unaware that significant grant funding is available to help cover the cost of web design, eCommerce development, digital marketing, SEO and more. In some cases, grants can cover up to 50% of your project costs.
We’ve helped dozens of businesses across Waterford, Kilkenny, Wexford and Tipperary access grant funding for their digital projects. We understand the application processes, the eligibility criteria, and what projects are most likely to be approved — and we’re happy to guide you through it.
You Haven’t Done This Before, We Have — Let Us Help
Applying for grants can feel complicated — the eligibility criteria, the application forms, the supporting documentation. We’ve helped many businesses across Waterford and the South East navigate the process successfully, and we’re happy to support you through it.
Specifically, we can help you:
- Identify which grants you’re most likely to qualify for based on your project and business profile
- Structure your project proposal to align with grant scheme requirements
- Provide the technical documentation, project specifications and cost breakdowns that grant applications typically require
- Ensure your project is delivered in a way that meets the grant scheme’s conditions and reporting requirements
Getting grant funding in place before a project begins is important — you generally can’t claim grant funding retrospectively for work already completed. If you’re considering a digital investment, it’s worth exploring your grant options first.
Website Design Grant Questions We Get Asked All the Time
The main sources of grant funding for web design and digital marketing in Ireland in 2026 are Local Enterprise Offices — through the new Grow Digital Voucher and Digital for Business programme — Enterprise Ireland, Fáilte Ireland (for tourism businesses) and Údarás na Gaeltachta (for Gaeltacht businesses). Each offers different programmes with different eligibility criteria. Get in touch and we’ll help you identify the best fit for your specific situation.
The Trading Online Voucher has been replaced by two linked programmes through the Local Enterprise Office network — Digital for Business, a free digital consultancy, and the Grow Digital Voucher, a grant of up to €5,000 to implement the digital improvements recommended in your consultancy report. You must complete the Digital for Business consultancy first before you can access the voucher.
It depends on the scheme. The LEO Grow Digital Voucher provides up to €5,000. Enterprise Ireland’s Digital and AI Discovery covers up to 80% of costs to a maximum of €5,000. The Online Retail Scheme provides up to €25,000 for eligible retailers when open. Fáilte Ireland and Údarás na Gaeltachta support vary by programme. In most cases grants cover a significant portion of costs — not the full amount.
The Grow Digital Voucher is a grant of up to €5,000 available through Local Enterprise Offices for small businesses investing in digital tools and services. To access it, you must first complete the free Digital for Business consultancy programme through your local LEO. The voucher can then be used to implement the digital improvements recommended in your consultancy report — which can include website development and digital services.
It depends on the schemes involved — some grants can be combined, while others cannot be used alongside other public funding for the same eligible costs. We’d recommend discussing your specific situation with your local LEO or Enterprise Ireland advisor, and we’re happy to help you think through the options.
Yes — several schemes cover digital marketing investment alongside website development. Enterprise Ireland’s Market Discovery Fund and Online Retail Scheme can include marketing activity. Fáilte Ireland also supports digital marketing for tourism businesses. The LEO Grow Digital Voucher can cover digital tools and services recommended in your Digital for Business report.
It varies by scheme. LEO applications can sometimes move relatively quickly once the Digital for Business consultancy is complete. Enterprise Ireland schemes like the Online Retail Scheme involve a more detailed assessment process and can take longer. Start the process as early as possible before your project begins.
Generally no — most grant schemes require approval before work begins. Starting a project before your grant is approved typically disqualifies you from funding. Always explore your grant options and get approval first.
Fáilte Ireland offers dedicated digital support specifically for tourism businesses — including funding towards website development, online booking integration and digital marketing. Enterprise Ireland and LEO support may also be available depending on your business profile. Get in touch and we’ll help you identify the most relevant options.
Údarás na Gaeltachta offers capital grants and business development support specifically for businesses in Gaeltacht areas — including digital investment. These are in addition to the broader support available through Enterprise Ireland and Local Enterprise Offices. Contact your local Údarás office for current scheme details.
