No Surprises — Just Honest, Transparent Pricing
One of the biggest frustrations businesses have when looking for a web design agency is the lack of pricing information. You spend time filling in a contact form, waiting for a callback, sitting through a sales conversation only to discover the project is way outside your budget, or that you’ve been significantly underselling yourself.
We’d rather give you a realistic picture upfront. The ranges below are based on real projects we’ve delivered for businesses across Waterford, Kilkenny, Wexford and Tipperary. They’ll tell you what to expect and help you have a more productive conversation when you do get in touch.
Every project we take on is quoted individually before any work begins. No surprises, no scope creep, no unexpected invoices.
Website Design Price Guide
Most projects at Whelan Web Design fall between €6,000 and €30,000 but we do work on projects both above and below that range depending on what’s involved. Our minimum engagement fee is €3,000.
No two websites are ever the same, which means no two quotes are ever the same either. The honest answer to “how much will it cost?” is that we won’t know until we understand the full scope of what you need — and that’s not us being evasive, it’s just the reality of bespoke work. A five-page website with a contact form is a very different project to a forty-page site with a fully integrated learning management system.
So what actuallly infuences the price?
- The number of meetings required
- If you have the content prepared (text, images, video etc.) or need us to provide it for you
- If you need a logo developed for your site?
- If your website is a completely new design or a re-design of an old site
- What sort of functionality you want and need on your website
- If you want to take online payments
- What level of training do you need on how to run, operate and update the site
- If you want online marketing and what sort of online marketing you need
These are just a few of the things that contribute to how much your website will cost but depending on what your business is, there’s a lot of options you can choose from when it comes to creating your perfect website.
Our unique discovery process helps us to eliminate any extra costs or delays that could pop up during the course of the project.
Software Development Questions We Get Asked All the Time
Mainly because of scope and quality. A €500 website from a part-time freelancer and a €5,000 website from an experienced agency are genuinely different products — in design quality, technical build, SEO foundations, security and long-term reliability. The cheapest option almost always costs more in the long run when it needs to be rebuilt or when it fails to generate the results you needed it for.
Yes. For larger projects we can structure payments across the project timeline, typically split between project start, design sign-off and launch. We’ll discuss payment terms as part of your project proposal.
